The Aurora Town Board approved several personnel actions on Aug. 10. The board authorized compensating the new assistant to the supervisor, Martha Lybrock, at a rate of $31.27 per hour effective immediately; outgoing assistant Kathleen Moffitt's last day will be Aug. 21. The board also approved promoting Joseph Kenefic to motor equipment operator at $33.84 per hour effective Aug. 15, and hired Henry Roberts as a laborer starting Aug. 17 at $20.80 per hour. Motions for each action were moved, seconded and carried by voice vote.
During discussion board members praised Kathleen Moffitt for her service. The supervisor said Moffitt was "a wonderful, wonderful person with a huge heart and a great worker," and the board expressed appreciation for her attention to budget details. The personnel actions were presented with effective dates and pay rates and recorded for payroll processing.
