Stevie Emerson gave the Chamber of Commerce report, noting the chamber hosted a business summit on Sept. 18 and is planning service-club outreach and a "lunch and learn" on Oct. 16 for municipal candidates. Emerson also said the chamber is working with county commissioners on livestreaming and archiving county meetings once the county's new website is online.
Emerson announced a new member (Chopstick House) and said Comcast has requested a ribbon-cutting event now that it has service in Preston. Council members asked whether school-district meetings are also being livestreamed; Emerson said recent meetings have been shared via Zoom links and the district is working toward archiving.
