The Union County School Board of Trustees opened a special-called meeting and was led in an invocation that asked for guidance for decisions affecting students and staff. Trustee Mark Truitt led the prayer, asking for "wisdom, give us knowledge, give us discernment to make the best decisions, for the students and the staff, here at, Union County School District."
After the invocation and the Pledge of Allegiance, the board moved to approve the meeting agenda. A motion to approve was made and seconded; the clerk performed a roll-call that recorded affirmative votes from trustees including "Mister Robbie," "Miss Anthony," "Mister Burlington," "Mister Lipsey," "Mister Shropshire," "Mister Truett" and "Mister Vassy." The clerk announced, "The motion is approved."
