The superintendent presented a simplified capital-improvement chart showing project packages and cash-flow red lines designed to spread work across series and avoid a tax increase. He said the first package includes the Earl Brothers Field, the baseball field, softball and Millersville playground and that bid documents will be released to contractors Wednesday, with award recommendations slated for the board in October.
He explained sequencing decisions were driven by design time and cash flow: athletics were chosen first because they require less design work, while CTE additions and high-school renovations will follow in a later series. The playground is expected to be ready for next school year but the softball field may not be complete until grass establishes. The superintendent also noted the district plans to phase furniture, transportation and tech purchases to smooth cash flow and pointed to an enhancement millage planned for November 2027.
