The board approved a proposal to upgrade audiovisual infrastructure in the Raymond Moore Auditorium (RMA) and Little Theater after a motion, second and roll-call vote. Administrators said the project, coordinated with the LFHS Foundation, PALS and Applause, will open ceiling and conduit access from referendum work to install upgradable infrastructure and new lobby displays so patrons can follow performances without remaining in the auditorium.
A staff representative explained the upgrades will enable better livestreaming and future expansions. "We're gonna have ceilings open. We're gonna have electrical panels open. We're gonna have conduit runs available," the presenter said, adding that the work will make the spaces more accessible to remote viewers and future-proof the systems.
