Board members at Boyne City Public Schools on Monday heard a high-level schedule for work funded by last year’s voter-approved bond, with consultants saying the district will sequence bid packs and target construction starts in 2026. Evan of Bartimello told trustees, "This is our target dates for for the bond schedule here," and said the team will refine dates as design development and contractor bids progress.
The timeline presented divides the bond into multiple bid packs: athletics/lighting first, then high-school additions (culinary and CTE), followed by elementary additions and renovations. Consultants said schematic-design documents (SD) have been submitted to estimators and that design-development (DD) sets are expected in mid-January, with bidding targeted in mid-March. The board was told contingencies will be tracked per bid pack so funds remaining after closeout can be applied to deferred work or additional scope where appropriate.
