Dr. Castro noted new security cameras are being installed after a delay, work on the softball scoreboard is ongoing, and a larger asphalt project is nearing final design with a pre-bid meeting held that day attended by about eight companies (Stenstrom, CCI and others). He also reported that student registration for 26-27 is progressing well with "roughly 80% of our families have already registered," which staff said will help with staffing and class placements.
Dr. Castro described outreach on CTE programming with Rock Valley College and potential grant funding and noted ongoing labor negotiations and recently completed certified-evaluation cycles for administrators. He closed by previewing strategic-planning sessions scheduled for June 26'27.
