Council approves Redford Crossing preliminary plat, Comprehensive Plan changes and PUD for public works facility
Summary
Monticello adopted Resolutions 2026-66, 2026-67 and 2026-68 approving the Redford Crossing preliminary plat, a Comprehensive Plan amendment reguiding parcels to Public Institutional and Mixed Neighborhood (and Traditional Residential for one lot), and a Development Stage PUD authorizing a Public Works facility and related uses, all subject to conditions in Exhibit Z.
The City Council approved a multi-part package for the Redford Crossing development on July 27, adopting Resolutions 2026-66 (preliminary plat), 2026-67 (Comprehensive Plan amendment), and 2026-68 (Development Stage Planned Unit Development). The approvals allow the proposed Lot 2, Block 1, and Outlots A and B to be used as a Public Works facility or Public Building or Use, subject to conditions listed in Exhibit Z and the findings included in each resolution.
The Council approved reguiding certain parcels to Public Institutional and Mixed Neighborhood uses and reguided one lot to Traditional Residential as described in Exhibit A of the resolution. The motions were adopted unanimously; staff noted conditions and findings necessary to proceed with future development stages and platting actions.
The approvals mark a step forward for public infrastructure siting and the associated land-use changes required to accommodate the proposed public works facility on the Redford Crossing property.
