Mills County proposes 0.6061 tax rate; public hearing set next week

"What we're gonna propose is the same tax rate 0.6061 with Mills County being, make sure my numbers are right, point 5035 and Road Bridge being point 1026," the judge said when presenting the proposed figures. Commissioners moved, seconded and approved publishing the proposed tax rate by voice vote; residents will have an opportunity to comment at the scheduled hearing.
Staff noted the figures are part of the annual budget process and that final numbers will be adopted after the public hearing and any required adjustments.
