During the presentation, Mr. Gammon said the CRA has budgeted $5,000,000 for redevelopment incentives and an additional $250,000 for residential programs such as home beautification grants. “We have $5,000,000 budgeted. That includes quite a bit. It includes some of the things we've already allocated for, Aqua Harbor, for instance, Villa Del Sol,” he said.
Board members noted the incentives list includes projects already approved and anticipates further allocations for sites such as the main and bank property and portions of the Riverside/Palm District. No new incentive approvals were voted on during the meeting; members discussed the need for clear project proposals to justify large incentive packages.
