Clerk advances accounting transition; audit delayed by missing OSLUD grant records

Clerk Jessica Lang reported the office is working with CYMA support personnel to assist with data entry and ledger updates as the village prepares to move its financial records into QuickBooks.
Lang said the "current goal is to continue to get the system up to date and prepare for the transition to QuickBooks." She also confirmed that certification of ballots has been filed with the Winnebago County clerk for the April election. The minutes note that a CPA referred by the village attorney's office is available for future questions once the software system is secured. Separately, President Owens reported the audit is delayed because records related to an OSLUD grant were not provided to the auditor by the previous clerk; those records are being compiled for submission.
The board additionally approved ordering a credit card for the clerk to use for office supplies and village needs; two bids for the mowing contract will be reviewed at the December meeting, according to the minutes.
