Village Attorney Jim Stevens reported that the Solar Farm accepted the development-agreement amendment and requested it be put into ordinance form for board action. Jim described a potential recapture mechanism to recoup $560,000, citing a calculation of $410 per acre as a recovery figure; he recommended exploring an intergovernmental agreement with the county to implement recapture if the board chooses to pursue it.
Jim also informed the board that a settlement conference in the Adriane Dean case is scheduled for Sept. 27 at 10:00 a.m. in Chicago and that a trial date is set for Nov. 7. Trustees agreed the recapture proposal and intergovernmental coordination require additional follow-up; the minutes record that the attorney and President Tim Owens will pursue discussions and report back.
