At the start of the meeting the Mayor announced that the City Council will host a budget workshop on Aug. 24 at 5:30 p.m. "All are welcome to attend," the Mayor said. Residents were directed to contact the city clerk in advance if they plan to attend in person.
The Mayor also reminded residents that the state primary election is tomorrow, Aug. 11, with polls open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. across the city's five precincts and encouraged voters to check the poll finder on the city website or contact the clerk's office if unsure of their polling location.
