Greer Police urge caution in school zones as classes resume

A Greer Police representative urged drivers to obey posted speed limits, avoid driving on the wrong side of the road to bypass traffic, and stop for school buses. "The 1st couple of days will probably be more warnings than tickets" the speaker said, adding that while enforcement may begin with warnings, officers do not want anyone to get hurt.
The bulletin advised motorists to allow extra travel time and directed listeners to the city news section for additional back-to-school safety tips. The segment also noted that many families met school resource officers at National Night Out, a community event held at Century Park.
