Select Board approves wastewater committee’s North Village capacity priorities; town warned of modest reserve cost

“Chrissy may be better equipped to answer this... Not necessarily,” the presenter (S9) said while explaining design flow uncertainties; a second speaker (S15) ran a quick calculation and said reserving 10% (648 gallons) would cost approximately $2,370 per year based on the operation and maintenance user fee assumptions. The board moved to approve the committee’s recommended allocation priorities; the motion passed with two ayes and one abstention.
Board members and staff stressed that reserving capacity is reversible and that final design flows will be finalized before construction. The vote lets permitting and project planning continue with the recommended prioritization in place.
