So I put it up to 5,200 for next year,” signaling a modest increase to a trustee‑managed distribution. Members noted monthly permit and fine income estimates of roughly $17,000–$19,000.
On the spending side, staff described a proposed 3% salary increase aligned with the recommended cost‑of‑living adjustment and highlighted several operating lines—audits, election costs and increased supplies following expansion of town office space. The staff member flagged a new full‑time assistant clerk request (40 hours, including benefits) and members agreed the position should appear as a separate article on the warrant so voters can consider it independently.
