The Springdale Planning Commission on April 15 held public hearings on four agenda items and unanimously recommended that the Town Council approve each of them. The actions forwarded to council include: Ordinance 2026-08 (tiered landscape and open-space minimums for Village Commercial lots); a zone map amendment applying the Workforce Housing Overlay Zone to 120 Kinesava Drive (S-KARA-1); Ordinance 2026-09 (clarifying ordinary maintenance and establishing an involuntary removal process for noncomplying buildings); and Ordinance 2026-10 (standards for reconstruction of noncomplying commercial buildings in Central and Village Commercial zones).
All four motions passed with recorded votes of Kruschke: Aye; McCulloch: Aye; Zimmerman: Aye. The commission’s findings and recommended ordinance language—Exhibit A (10-21-8/9) and Exhibit B (10-21-10)—will be included in the packet forwarded to the Town Council for final action. Where required, recommended next steps include recording restrictive covenants and executing a development agreement for the Workforce Housing Overlay parcel.
