Groton council asks members to send questions to mayor's office, plans site visit options

Rather than rushing to decide whether to sell the city-owned parcels, the council agreed to continue the conversation and gather more information.
Mayor Russ asked councilors to send their questions to her office (rather than using a group reply) so staff could compile the list and present answers at a future Committee of the Whole meeting. "If you can just send all of your questions to my office... That way we can compile these questions, and then once we have everybody's questions, we can bring them forward again as at a committee of the whole that is appropriate," she said.
Councilors also discussed conducting a site visit. Mayor Russ said a field visit by the full mayor-and-council would require posting and public invitation; alternatively, individual councilors could inspect the site on their own and report back.
