Kyle Thornton reported that an internal county audit identified two county parks—Clinton Lakes County Park and Clinton Trails County Park—still zoned as mining rather than the intended A2 zoning for park use. Applications have been submitted to the Planning and Zoning Commission to rezone both parks to A2 to match their current uses.
Jan Motz said the county is also pursuing a full-time planner. The minutes do not include application numbers, expected hearing dates, or projected timelines for the rezoning decisions; the Planning and Zoning Commission will process the applications per standard county procedure.
