Finance committee reported the district has lost access to a parcel it had used for parking at Moses and is exploring options with architects and construction managers to add parking and improve traffic flow. The committee noted that state rules typically require interior work for emergency project approval, and the district has not yet secured emergency designation for the site work.
Committee members also discussed Phase 2 of the district's 2024 capital project, which includes a UPK playground, HVAC upgrades at specified buildings, middle‑school pool and locker‑room renovations, and other site work scheduled for the summer. The committee flagged a potential need for an emergency parking project if the lost access cannot be restored and said staff will investigate options and costs before returning to the board.
Board thanked the committee for the update and set the next meeting date for June 11.
