Village hears that water-house chlorine pump failed; replacement expected near $3,000

Clerk Melody Hall told the board on May 8 that the chlorine pump the trustees previously voted to obtain (per EPA guidance) did not work when installed at the village water house. The installed unit was a rebuilt pump and Tony's used that rebuilt unit as the jockey pump when the original jockey pump failed. Hall said Tony's is obtaining another pump and that the replacement will cost "closer to $3,000.00," as recorded in the meeting minutes.
The minutes also note Tony's arranged for Tim Dykema to handle electronic controls at the water house for repair needs. The board did not take a separate motion on the pump during the meeting; the clerk reported the logistics and the approximate replacement cost to trustees for future budgeting and action.
