Commission approves surplus of Cherokee Park truck, vehicle upfits and IT equipment purchases

Miss Hale told the Finance Committee that the park manager requested surplus of the pickup replaced by a recently delivered Cherokee Park truck and recommended selling it through govdeals, estimating a sale price of roughly $4,000 to $5,000. "That truck was delivered in the last few weeks... the park manager has requested now to surplus the truck that the new one replaced," she said.
The committee approved the truck surplus request. Separately, the committee approved a $26,000 transfer from reserve funds so the circuit court clerk’s office can purchase 10 new desktops, monitors and scanners; Miss Hale said IT equipment is bought on a replacement cycle. The committee also approved a $5,190.93 increase to cover upfit packages for three sheriff patrol cars purchased off a statewide contract, citing lights, cages and related equipment.
Other approvals included placing a $36.56 equipment refund back into sheriff equipment lines and adding $4,050 in surplus-proceeds to Cherokee Park’s budget after the sale of an older mower. Commissioners voted to carry each item after brief discussion; no individual roll-call tallies were read into the record.
