Commission reappoints Rob Marion to River Valley Regional Commission; staff lists items for Nov. 4 agenda

The commission unanimously approved a resolution appointing Rob Marion to the River Valley Regional Commission for a two-year term beginning Oct. 7, 2025. The resolution was presented and the board voted to adopt it at the Oct. 7 meeting; the signed resolution appears in the meeting packet.
At the Oct. 27 work session staff proposed several items to be added to the Nov. 4 regular meeting agenda: a voting item to end the Fort Benning stray facility contract due to staffing and contractual constraints, a Library Board appointment of Teresa Williams, pursuit of an economic development sewer grant/application, and authorization to purchase a Public Works truck (approximately $30,000 from SPLOST). Commissioners agreed to add those items for consideration.
