At the Oct. 7 regular meeting the commission approved a slate of capital projects and awarded contracts to specific vendors. The Riverbend fishing dock sole bid from Wahoo Dock was approved; the storage building project at 215 McNaughton St. was awarded with Chattahoochee Concrete contracted for the slab and North Carolina Carports for the building. For the City Hall Welcome Center the lower concrete bid from Chattahoochee Concrete was approved to refurbish the remaining third of the building.
The commission also approved additions to the Cusseta Dog Pound, awarding concrete work to Rock Solid Construction, fencing to United Fencing, and the building portion to McGuire Buildings. All motions were made and seconded as recorded and each vote on these procurement items was unanimous.
