Trustees raise volunteer snow-plow payment to $20

President Ron Brown said several residents offered to help with snow plowing if he could not do it and asked how they would be paid. Clerk Melody Hall advised that those who plow must submit a bill listing hours worked; she also said private contractors should provide proof of insurance.
Trustee Karin Simkins moved, and Trustee Cheryl Stevens seconded, a motion to raise the payment for snow-plowing assistance from $15 to $20. The motion carried unanimously. Trustees discussed that if village equipment is used it would likely be covered by village insurance; privately owned plows should supply their own coverage.
