Lake County APS urges volunteers to report concerns; says reports are confidential

The official also emphasized that reporter confidentiality is protected: "All reporters to adult protective services are confidential by law," and said identities are not shared with the older adult or family. The presentation reiterated that volunteers and community members should provide as much information as possible when making a report and that APS will use referrals to determine if an assessment is required.
