Oakwood Hills board hires Erik Quandee as police officer

The Village of Oakwood Hills board voted to hire Erik Quandee as a police officer at its Aug. 13 special meeting. Trustee Rourke moved the appointment, Trustee Ruhnke seconded, and the motion passed with Trustees Ruhnke, Wallace, Wise and Rourke voting aye; Trustee Bone was absent.
Clerk Cheryl R. LoSasso administered the oath of office to Quandee following the vote. Trustee Rourke told the board that Quandee had been interviewed and unanimously approved by the committee; Quandee gave a brief summary of his policing background at the meeting. The board did not record any dissent or conditions attached to the hire.
