Edisto Beach ATAX Board accepts FY26 financials; no state repayment expected

The Town of Edisto Beach Accommodations Tax (ATAX) Advisory Board voted April 30 to accept the ATAX Cash Summary and Project Status Reports for fiscal year 2026 through March 31.
Assistant Town Administrator Dee Stalvey presented the reports and told the board that the Ocean Ridge Master Property Owners Association drainage project shown as open in the report has since been settled. Chair Mike Hobson noted that "revenue potentially subject to return to the state totaled $(323,832)," and said the figure indicates no repayment is expected. Emma Hart moved to accept the financials; Marie Bost seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
The board did not take additional action beyond accepting the reports. The vote preserves the board's current project status list and funds overview pending any future changes or clarifications from Staff. The acceptance allows staff to continue processing approved ATAX projects and disbursements for those items listed in the FY26 project status report.
Next steps: staff will continue routine monitoring and will report any subsequent settlements or adjustments to the board at future meetings.
