The Escambia County Board of Education voted to approve a one-year renewal of the Atrium library software contract, used to check books in and out across district libraries. S3 explained the district has relied on the system for over six years and recommended the renewal at a cost of $13,750.
"We've been using this for more than 6 years, and this is in the amount of $13,750," S3 said, presenting the contract renewal during the action-items portion of the special call meeting. S1 moved to approve the renewal; the motion was seconded and the chair announced the motion carried.
The renewal was presented as a routine, single-year extension of existing software services; no alternative vendors or expanded scope were discussed at the meeting. The board’s vote was recorded by the chair as in favor and the motion was adopted.
