The Fort Pierce Planning Board on Aug. 10 recommended approval of three companion ordinances to annex a 0.19-acre vacant lot on Juanita Avenue, assign a low-density residential future land use, and adopt R-1 single-family zoning.
Mr. Freeman summarized the application, saying the property is contiguous to the city and that the companion measures (annexation ordinance 26-016, future land use ordinance 26-017, and zoning ordinance 26-018) were coordinated so the zoning would conform to the proposed RL future land use. He told the board the applicant has an annexation agreement with Fort Pierce Utilities Authority to provide water and sewer so a single-family home could be built.
The applicant, who signed in as Dror Trigar, confirmed the lot meets width, depth, and setback requirements. "My name is Dror Trigar," he said when asked to state his name for the record. No members of the public spoke on the application during the public-comment opportunity. The board voted, by roll call, to recommend all three ordinances to the City Commission for further consideration.
Staff noted technical review committee findings and that engineering and FPUA raised no utility objections; future development will remain subject to city permitting, drainage, and access requirements.
