Dixon County reviews officials' expenditure and revenue estimates in budget workshop

The Dixon County Board of Supervisors held a special budget workshop on Aug. 4, 2026, where Caleb Johnson, the county’s budget preparer and president of J13 Enterprises, LLC, presented the officials’ estimations of expenditures and revenue and outlined the county’s budget process. The meeting opened at 9:00 a.m. at the Dixon County Annex Building in Ponca; Chair Lisa Lunz led the Pledge of Allegiance and called roll.
Johnson walked the board through current revenue and expenditure projections and said the county “stands at this point” in the process, noting that changes and updates were needed and that suggestions were welcome. The board discussed the presentation and accepted Johnson’s overview as the basis for preparing the proposed budget and public hearing materials. The board subsequently set a public budget hearing for Sept. 29, 2026, at 9:00 a.m.
