The task force discussed engaging local businesses and community organizations to distribute collapsible, reusable bags as part of a wider resource-conservation outreach push. Members suggested partnering with Warrensburg Main Street, the Chamber of Commerce or local Rotary Clubs and coordinating with the City’s Trash Talk promotional effort to increase participation and improve curbside garbage and recycling signage.
Kathy Strickland noted that Citizens for Environmental Action has joined the international Repair Café organization and recently hosted a mending event at the University of Central Missouri and a bike-repair activity during Moonlight Market. Members flagged the Warrensburg Farmers Market as a possible venue for an ESTF informational table.
