At the Aug. 4 session the Deuel County Commission adopted a provisional budget and authorized payment of county warrants presented at the meeting.
Commissioner Scott Fieber moved to approve the provisional budget described in the minutes as "3.5% 1.29% growth and remainder of stored CPI," a motion seconded by Commissioner Harry Mewherter and approved unanimously. The board also voted to pay the warrants as presented (motion by Steve Rhody, seconded by Scott Fieber). The minutes list specific paid-early items and warrant entries including Wellmark BCBS $24,454.70 for health insurance, City of Watertown $6,260.30 for a 911 surcharge, D&G Excavating $31,000.00 for contract work and a series of fire reversion payments to local departments.
