County approves $210,449 tractor purchase and $454,994 road oil order

Highway Superintendent Jamie Broksieck said Kibble quoted $210,448.64 for a 6M130 tractor and set-up, while Diamond quoted $222,441; the board approved the Kibble quote and recorded that delivery is approximately six months out. Broksieck also reported the county is chip sealing 28 miles this summer and requested purchase of road oil to support that program. The commission approved a road oil purchase of $454,994.04.
Both purchases were approved unanimously by the five commissioners. The minutes do not list financing sources for the purchases; the items were recorded as motions and passed during the highway superintendent's appointment.
