The commission approved multiple routine and administrative items at its Sept. 2 meeting, voting unanimously on each motion. Actions included updating the county travel mileage rate (meal rates unchanged), approving a change of the county retirement plan from Corebridge to ACCG, renewing the DFACS lease for another year and approving the Caselle online payment portal for public payments. The commission also voted to enroll the county in GEMA's Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS).
Commissioners reappointed Martha Burgamy to the DFACS board for a term starting Sept. 2, 2025 and expiring June 30, 2027. Commissioner Biddle moved to approve the reappointment and Commissioner Frost seconded the motion; the vote was unanimous.
County Manager Weaver framed these actions as routine governance and service improvements; he told the commission that travel-mileage adjustments were the only change to the travel policy, while technology and emergency-notification approvals will aid service delivery.
