The Northfield Sewer Commission voted July 22 to add 11 Linden Ave to the FY27 billing commitment and to apply a special back bill covering the prior five years.
Bernard (Bernie) Boudreau moved the measure and Mitch Damon seconded; the motion passed unanimously. The minutes state: "Motioned to add 11 Linden to the bill for FY27 and a special billing of the past 5 years." Chief Isaac Golding said he would return to the property with a dye test and the connection form to demonstrate the property’s sewer connection.
The commission also discussed back-billing for 79 Main St (the Verizon building). Commissioners noted Town Counsel’s guidance that historic accounts can be billed for six years, and they will consider that window as they finalize recovery actions. Michele (staff) added a recently camera-inspected connection at 64 East St to the account list during the same review.
Chair Karen Boudreau and staff said they compared the commitment draft line-by-line to the FY26 account report to ensure accounts and ownership changes were correctly recorded before issuing bills.
