The Warrensburg City Council unanimously adopted Bill No. 07-01-2026, establishing the Maguire Street Corridor Overlay District as Ordinance No. 6039. Mayor Bruce D. Uhler called the meeting to order July 27; Community Development Director Carroll told council members that a public hearing and the ordinance's first reading were held at the July 13 meeting and "city staff has not received any additional public comment regarding this proposed ordinance."
The ordinance’s packet (provided at the prior meeting) included the Planning and Zoning Commission’s recommendation and a map of the proposed overlay. Councilmember Ridenhour moved adoption; the roll call vote was 4–0 in favor (Ridenhour, Osborne, Jones, Uhler). City staff did not report any substantive changes since the July 13 first reading. The overlay will be recorded as Ordinance No. 6039 and staff will proceed with implementation steps described in the project packet.
