The Klamath Falls City Schools Board of Education unanimously adopted Resolution #26-05, the 2026–2027 annual budget, following a presentation from Executive Director of Operations Daymond Monteith. Motion to approve was made by Board Member Kelsey Bitzer and seconded by Kathy Hewitt; the roll-call vote was recorded as unanimous.
Monteith told the Board the adopted budget provides the district's spending authority for the upcoming fiscal year and described the plan as a creative approach aimed at improving student outcomes while maintaining fiscal responsibility. He said the district's year-end projection shows a positive ending fund balance and explained that June expenditure totals appear high because licensed staff receive three payroll payments covering June, July and August and the district does not receive a state school fund payment in June.
