The Finance Committee voted unanimously to accept a $1,596,000 Roadway Departure Safety Action Plan grant, with the county committing an $84,000 match to bring the project total to $1,680,000. Public Works representative Eric Rose requested the award; the committee approved creating a Guiderail Replacement Capital Project and appropriating the grant and match for that capital effort.
Separately, the committee authorized adding a Line Boring Kit with drill to the highway major equipment line at a cost of $6,000. All votes on the Public Works items were 5-0. County staff will prepare resolutions and capital project paperwork required to appropriate the funds.
