Dixon Public Library previews fall 2025 events and services

Ralina of the Dixon Public Library presented the branch’s Fall 2025 schedule at the Sept. 23 commission meeting, describing recurring offerings and single events for children, teens, adults and seniors. She said programs are posted on the Solano County Library events calendar and that the Dixon branch distributes a monthly paper calendar at the front desk.
Highlights included kids' homework help on Mondays (4–5 p.m.), read-to-a-dog on Mondays (3–4 p.m.), a Nintendo Switch game day for teens and tweens (Tuesdays, 3:30–5 p.m.), bilingual story time and a Saturday story time at 10 a.m. The library plans teen crafts, teen mini golf, a Halloween cookie-decorating session and off-site book club meetings; Solano Family & Children Services will be at the branch Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 to conduct ages-and-stages questionnaires for families. "We have our Nintendo switch game day for teens and tweens, which is now on Tuesdays from 03:30 to 5," Ralina said. Commissioners asked how events are publicized; Ralina said they are listed online and printed at the branch.
