Commission formalizes vehicle agreement for Quick Response Team, approves MOU with WVU Hospital

Tim Czaja, Director of Community Corrections, told commissioners the Quick Response Team program began in 2020 and that the county has provided and maintained a vehicle for program use since inception. The Health Department recently requested formal documentation of vehicle-related costs; the new agreement formalizes existing practice with the county maintaining and fueling the vehicle and invoicing the Health Department at a rate comparable to renting a similar vehicle.
Mr. Czaja also presented a memorandum of understanding with WVU Hospital that formalizes long-standing collaboration on medical clearances for individuals entering inpatient programs. He said the MOU does not involve financial transactions between the county and the hospital. The Commission voted to approve the vehicle agreement and the WVU MOU and granted the President authority to sign the documents.
