Committee finds Aurelius five‑lot subdivision is local; urges coordinated stormwater controls

The Committee reviewed a Planning Board referral for a major subdivision proposed by Gregory Sterman in the Town of Aurelius to create five residential building lots. On a motion by Kari Terwilliger, seconded by Doug Kierst, the Committee "determine[d] that the action appears to have no intermunicipal concerns and to be of local concern only," and the motion passed with all voting AYE.
In its comments the Committee encouraged that "to the fullest extent practicable, the committee encourages future development to coordinate stormwater and erosion control measures." The minutes also note that if public utilities are not used for future development, permits and approvals for wells and septic systems will be required from the Cayuga County Health Department.
