The Health & Human Services Committee voted to approve a slate of 13 resolutions covering multiple departments. The slate included a Health Department budget modification (6-26-HH-1); a contract with CiTi BOCES for 3–5 special education services (6-26-HH-2); creation of a part-time Rabies Coordinator (6-26-HH-3) and a 100% funded Public Health Educator position (6-26-HH-4); and a contract with Natural Balance Wildlife Solutions, LLC (6-26-HH-5). Motions were moved and seconded by committee members and recorded as carried "all in favor."
Additional passed items authorized the creation and filling of positions at the Community Mental Health Center (6-26-HH-6, 6-26-HH-8), acceptance of a temporary leave bank for mental health staff (6-26-HH-7, passed last month), multiple hiring actions in the Department of Social Services (6-26-HH-9 through 6-26-HH-11), acceptance of Summer Youth Employment Program funding and budget amendment (6-26-HH-12), and a contract for meal delivery services for senior citizens (6-26-HH-13). Committee membership present was listed as Chair Amy Sargent and legislators Elane Daly (Vice Chair), Aileen McNabb-Coleman, Ben Vitale and Tom Winslow.
