Board holds multiple closed sessions for personnel and legal matters; meeting adjourns without public actions from those sessions

During the March 24 meeting the board convened several closed sessions. Commissioner Myra Carlisle Frazier moved the board into a 15-minute non-elected executive session with County Counselor Jake Conard early in the meeting and later made motions to enter additional closed sessions for employee evaluations with County HR Director Deana Randall, County Maintenance Director Mike Thomas, County Emergency Manager Matt Haviland and Health Department Director Peyton Kessler. An attorney-client executive session was also held and extended by five minutes. The minutes explicitly note that these sessions occurred and state that no public action was taken as a result.
The meeting concluded when Commissioner Frazier moved to adjourn and Commissioner Jack Garner seconded; the motion passed unanimously and the minutes were attested by County Clerk Rebecca Brassart. The minutes do not record any substantive policy decisions taken in open session that resulted directly from the closed discussions.
