Athens in Motion plan update urges targeted sidewalks, separated bikeways and flexible delivery

The presentation stressed implementation flexibility: instead of rigid tiers the plan creates "product delivery pathways" — using resurfacing, private development, traffic calming and small-area gap programs alongside capital projects — so staff can pursue opportunistic improvements. Henry asked the commission to accept the plan at the September voting meeting so staff can begin using the new prioritization tools and appendices that document what changed since 2018.
