Public Works Supervisor Travis Yost told the council the department is preparing to install traffic cameras and has assistance from Senator Ben Queen to move the project forward, but the town is awaiting a state permit before installation can proceed. Yost also reported routine summer work including repainting curbs, crosswalks and hydrants.
A resident asked whether another speed bump could be installed near the existing one on Burton Avenue; Yost said the item would be added to the next meeting agenda for discussion. No decision was made at this meeting and the council directed staff to evaluate the request.
