Nutter Fort department reports: audit filed, equipment back in service, ambulance near-miss addressed

Treasurer Leslie Cummings told the council that the FYE2025 audit is complete and has been submitted to state and federal government and that the report will be emailed to council. She also said paperwork for LPR camera installations was submitted to the West Virginia Department of Highways and the West Virginia State Police and that ASK Insurance notified the town there will be no increase in the supplemental insurance premium this year. Cummings reported that a 2024 Ford damaged in December 2025 was totaled once additional damage was discovered and that vendor registration for the 2026 Halloween Fall Festival will open April 3, 2026.
Fire Chief Jeremy Haddix reported Engine 71 is back in service after refurbishment and noted the Ultimate Giveaway scheduled for May 9, 2026 at the Nathan Goff Armory. EMS Supervisor Nathan Rohrbough said an ambulance involved in a February near-miss has returned to service and that call volume is up. Public Works reported installation of a water tap on Pennsylvania Avenue. PT Code Enforcement Officer Robert Leonard said he contacted the former RG Honda property owner about obtaining a permit and that the owner is working to obtain an asbestos test.
