The council appointed Larry Hulzebos to a vacancy on the Planning Commission after receiving a board interest form; the motion to appoint was made by Diana Fliss and seconded by Susan Cram and passed unanimously.
The council also approved two Planning Commission recommendations: an application for two illuminated signs for Sanford to be placed on the Robert Salmon Center (old Schott’s building) at 104 11th Street East, and two aluminum signs for the Canby Sportsman’s Club to be posted near the old wastewater treatment building and at Ring Ave N. and Fairgrounds St. W. The Canby Sportsman’s Club sign approvals were contingent on Yellow Medicine County approval. Motions were passed unanimously.
The record does not list sign dimensions, materials beyond "illuminated" and "aluminum," or permit conditions beyond the county contingency for the sportsman’s club signs.
