The Dixon City Council recorded two formal, unanimous roll-call votes on Sept. 2.
First, the council adopted a resolution approving a three-year Memorandum of Understanding with the Dixon Police Officers Association (term: July 1, 2025–June 30, 2028) that includes step restructuring and multi-year salary increases (11% for officers; 14% for sergeants), increases to differentials, longevity pay, and an 85% city contribution to the Kaiser Region 1 health plan; the council also approved a related FY25/26 budget amendment.
Second, the council approved city co-sponsorship of the Downtown Dixon Business Association’s Christmas Tree Lighting event on Dec. 6, 2025, authorized street and parking lot closures (including applying to Caltrans for a Highway 113 closure), approved use of staff overtime and the City of Dixon logo on materials, and authorized a $5,000 contribution from the Community Support Fund. Both items passed on unanimous voice/roll-call votes by the council members present.
