Select Board approves Garlic Town road and lot closures for early September festival

The Select Board approved a motion to close Depot Street (from Pearl's garage entrance to 121 Depot Street) and the North Street public parking lot for Garlic Town on Saturday, Sept. 5, with a setup closure beginning Sept. 3. Town Manager Dan Monks said the Chamber had notified neighbors and coordinated with the police department; the motion carried unanimously.
Committee and board members asked that staff post notices widely and confirmed police and emergency-access arrangements. The board did not place additional conditions on the closure beyond the documentation and outreach the Chamber reported having completed.
